Dentures & Partial Dentures
The right dentures improve quality of life for Tucson, AZ patients
If you are missing a tooth, you may be sensitive about how it impacts your smile. If you are missing multiple teeth, the condition has probably affected how you speak and what you are able to eat. If you have no natural teeth (or the few remaining should be removed in the best interests of your health), you are facing a real quality of life challenge influencing appearance, health, self-esteem, and social acceptance. Dr. Colby Echols has helped many people in the Tucson, AZ area, with dentures that look natural and fit comfortably. He can help you, too.
Multiple denture options in Tucson, AZ
- Partial dentures – This dental appliance holds one or more artificial teeth in an arch. It clips to remaining teeth for stability but is removable for easy cleaning. You can eat with a partial denture in place and wearing it 24/7 helps to keep other teeth from shifting out of position.
- Complete denture – A complete denture replaces all teeth in an arch, and supplements gum tissue as well. A traditional full denture is designed and placed after the mouth has healed from extractions.
- Immediate denture – This type of denture is designed prior to extractions and inserted on the day of the extractions. You do not have to go without teeth during the healing period, but the denture does need to be adjusted or replaced when oral tissues stabilize.
- Implant-retained denture – A few dental implants can be placed in the arch to anchor a complete denture. This style of denture is comfortable, lighter, and very stable. An implant-retained upper denture does not cover the palate, so temperature sensation and sense of taste are not impacted.
How you can benefit from a quality-made denture
A well-designed denture provides more than smile enhancement. As a replacer for missing teeth, it supports facial tissues, provides speech improvement, and can improve chewing function significantly
